Coco Deck Featured in Hawai‘i Magazine: A Heartfelt Mahalo to Our Community
We’re honored and excited to have recently been featured in Hawai‘i Magazine! Being recognized by such a respected publication is a celebration of the incredible people who helped bring Coco Deck to life.
Located on the iconic Front Street in Lahaina, Coco Deck Kitchen + Bar opened in September 2024 with a mission: to create a space where locals and visitors alike can relax, connect, and enjoy delicious food in the heart of a community rebuilding after hardship. We’re thrilled that this mission resonated with Hawai‘i Magazine, who spotlighted us as a fresh, family-friendly gathering place born from resilience and love.
A Story Rooted in Community and Comeback
The article beautifully captured what makes Coco Deck special: our deep ties to Lahaina and our desire to offer something welcoming, affordable, and full of flavor. After the 2023 wildfires, our team came together to dream up something new. With Chef Alvin Savella at the helm, and the support of Rob Farrell and Caleb Hopkins, Coco Deck was born as a love letter to our home and our people.
From our crispy poke doughnuts to the birria ramen, our menu reflects bold creativity with a playful twist. But more than the food, it’s the atmosphere; the keiki zone for little ones, the sports-friendly TVs, and our vibrant happy hour that brings people together and makes Coco Deck feel like home.
Mahalo for the Love
We’re incredibly grateful to Hawai‘i Magazine for sharing our story, and to our Coco Deck ‘ohana, for making it all possible. Your support fuels every dish, every laugh-filled night, and every big idea we bring to the table. If you haven’t read the article yet, check it out here.
